Bethany Night Shelter

We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with Bethany Christian Trust from 8 January until 22 April to provide a ‘temporary emergency’ Care Shelter at Meadowbank Church. The challenge for Bethany was that other church halls in the city centre were not large enough to meet the need and some homeless people had to be turned away. Our hall is able to provide up to 75 spaces for sleeping mats and volunteer catering teams are able to use our kitchen to prepare and serve a warm meal each night to all the guests. The volunteers are quite amazing in the way they serve for so many and the Bethany Staff Team are impressive in the way they welcome guests.

Teams from churches all over the city help with catering each night. This is what our turn looked like!
